The Walking section is a friendly, mixed group.
Thanks to our wonderful volunteer walk leaders, we are currently offering a wide range of group walks, and any BLAGSS member with the appropriate level of fitness is welcome on any walk.
Many of our walks are accessible on foot, by bike or by public transport from Brighton, and do not require the use of cars.
We meet a few minutes before the advertised start time so that we’re ready to start promptly. The walk leader gives a few details about the walk; we introduce ourselves; and then we set off. Typically there will be several rest stops (more if the terrain is harder) and lots of opportunity to chat to fellow walkers.
We walk in and around the Brighton & Hove area - anywhere locally, in fact, that our volunteer leaders offer to lead a walk. They decide on the day/date, start time and route, as well.
There is no charge for any walk. You might want to bring some money for refreshments and any travel costs.
